| Description / विवरण | The 24th Jain Tirthankara Mahavira is seated in padamasana mudra on a Pitha. His body appear to be motionless with half close eyes which show a beautiful meditative expression. His curly hair has a Usnisa over his head. Above his head Chhatra is shown. Elephant and Gandharva figures depicted on top corner on either side of the deity. The figure of a standing Camardhari is depicted on either side near his legs.Srivatsa symbol is visible on the chest.The image pedestal has an inscription of four lines, it mention the name of donor as Sonval and his son Nal. His Lanchhan emblem Deer is carved at the the Pitha. |
