| Description / विवरण | This weathered sculpture depicts Ganesha seated on a pedastal in sukhasana.A small two tiered conical crown adorns the head. The large fan like ears are noteworthy.Eyes are provided obliquely.Faint remains of naga tied across his pot belly is discernible.He is two armed.Right arm probably holding broken tusk rests on the folded right knee whereas left hand holds bowl with modaka on which rests the left turned trunk which is partially damaged.The features clearly indicate the early stages of depiction of Ganesha during the early chalukyan period. |
