| Description / विवरण | The sculptural fragment is a slab depicting five divinities in a row. Beginning from the left side the deities are Indra, Brahma, Siva, Vishnu, and Surya. All are seated in a double cushion in padmasana pose in one platform. The attributes common to all include bejeweled crowns on heads, yajnapavitas, necklaces and earrings. The two-armed Indra holds on anusa in his left hand the attribute of the right hand being broken. Brahma is four armed and four headed, of which three are visible. All the faces are shown with beards and moustaches. His lower right hand is in the varada pose holding a rosary while the lower left one carries a Kamandalu. In his upper right hand he holds a sacrificial implement while the attribute in upper left hand is broken. The four-armed Siva holds a trisula and a dambaru in his two left hands. He carries an aksamala in his upper right hand and keeps his lower right hand in the Varada pose. The four armed Vishnu carries a gada, a lotus, a sankha, and charka in his lower right, upper right, upper left and lower left hands respectively. The two- armed surya carries two lotus existing above his shoulders. |
