| Description / विवरण | The face of this icon is rubbed off. Clothed in an antariya, held by a beaded girdle, and an Uttariya worn in an Upaviti fashion, the two armed Lokesvara is decked in valayas, beaded armlets, a broad ornate necklace, an Upavita and a short beaded crown with three ornate triangular projections. With his pendant right foot on a lotus, the Bodhisattva, with auspicious lines around the neck, half-closed eyes and a contemplative facial expression, is seated in the lalitasana on the pericarp of a lotus with a single row of hanging petals, the lotus seat, oval on plan, is hollow within. His right palm, placed against his right knee. |
