| Description / विवरण | The copper plate grant contains 3 sets of plates. These plates are attached to a ring to which a seal is attached. The first plate contains 7 lines of writing in the obverse side. The reverse sided remains blank. Second plate contains 8 lines of writing on both sides of plates. The third plate contains 8 lines of writing in the obverse side and 3 lines in the reverse side. On the counter sunk surface of the seal there are symbols of a crescent at the top and a standing boar below. The copper plate grant records that the grant of the village Saucapura attached to Helthapra visaya was given in favour of Gabhita of the Parasara gotra, five pravaras and the vajasaneya carana. The language of the plate is Sanskrit and the script is northern class of alphabet. |
