| Description / विवरण | The charter consists of three copper plates attached to a copper ring and bronze seal. The ring is absolutely bent and not exactly round in shape at the present state. The round seal is completely worn out the rims of the plates is slightly raised in order to protect the writing which is well preserved. The inner side of the first and third plates and both sides of the second plate are engraved. First plate contains 19 lines, the second plate obverse side contains 18 lines and reverse side contains 19 lines, the third plate contains 19 lines. There are altogether 75 lines of writing. The language of the inscription is Sanskrit and the script is Eastern Variety of northern class of alphabet. The object of the charter is to record the grant of the village Sarima in favour of Yasodhara of the Parasara gotra by Mahabhabagupta Udyat kasari. |
