| Description / विवरण | This is a long barrelled gun, having a elongated stock of teak wood.Stock has a cavity on one side and a split below offset. Striations on wood is interesting. A flat iron trigger is provided between a slot at the base connected to the hammer cock at the side of breech. The rusted barrel measuring 1.36 m in length is strapped to the stock channel with four thin iron bands. The barrel contains a single line urdu inscription of 18th C. A.D. character mentioning the name of Nizam of Hyderabad state 1762-1803 A.D. . Similarly right side face of stock reveals urdu inscription. A moulded ring near the muzzle end and the flaring mouth of the barrel measures 12 cm in circumference.Stock is brownish in colour due to patina and the gun barrel and other iron parts are rusted. |
