| Description / विवरण | Siva as Nataraja in a niche flanked by two slender pilasters. His right leg absent is broken while the left leg is firmly planted on the ground. It is eight armed. The lower front right hand is turned inwards towards left hand in lola hasta posture across the body and touching the knee where as the left front hand is turned towards right with the palm kept open. The two rear hands hold the flowing jatas locks of hair on either side. Of the remaining hands the one lower right hand is in chinmudra while the left hand holds akshamala. There is a makara torana motif on the top with celestial nymphs flying in the air on the top. Below the figure in the niche at the bottom are devotees worshiping in anjali mudra. Outside niche i.e. by the side of the pilasters are standing images of dwarapalas with folded hands. The ornaments include necklace, a long yajnopavita, udarabandha and short lower garment. |
