| Description / विवरण | A standing image of VAMANA, having four hands, only upper left hand survives, holding a cakra. The pot belled VAMANA is well carved wearing a mukuta and other ornaments. There is a halo circle round the head and on the torana, on the top, depicts a seated Vishnu is flanked by flying figures. To the right, it contains seated Brahma, and to corresponding side it contains seated Siva. The right panel depicts from top to bottom, VARAHA, a male figure with makara, vyala, gaja, a lady and a standing figure, holding an object which is not distinct. The corresponding side depicts from top to bottom, Narasimha, a male figure on makra, vyala, gaja, a lady and male figure with two hands, one is kati hasta, while the right hand holds a club. Near the pada peeth two Aradhapuruses are shown on each side. It follows the various attendant figures. Below and near the pada-peeth a pair of devotee in anjali mudra but heads are missing. Just below the pada peeth a lady is shown flanked by the male figures. |
