| Description / विवरण | This is a small cannon used for firing cannon balls. The barrel with a handle at the rear measures 92 cm in length.The base is broad, measures 22cm in circumference where as the circular barrel mouth is comparatively narrow and measures 19 cm in circumference.At the rear end a small perforation is provided on the top surface to ignite gun powder for firing. It is muzzle loaded.In the middle a long cylindrical pivot measuring 13 cm in length to fix it firmly. At the rear end a narrow cylindrical handle measuring 10 cm in length is provided, for easy rotation of cannon in different directions and to vary elevation.Out turned muzzle end is noteworthy.The surface is rough and encrustration is prominent. |
