| Description / विवरण | Fixed within a wooden frame, the two panels depicting dancing nataraja, and kubera with his consort respectively exhibits good workmanship. The panel to the right depicts an eight handed nataraja in tribhanga. He wears a kirita mutuka terminating with a fenial. Ears are adorned with karna kundalas. A austere halo is provided behind the head. In his three right hand he hods a damaru, trishula, a bell, and the fourth hand is shown suspended down. In the four left hands he is shown holding a sword, trishula a staff toped with a skull and a bowl. He wears a elaborate vakshahara with diadem, and yajnopavita with knots. The half dhoti decorated with beaded design shows the cental frill overlain with a beaded garland. Dwarf ganas playing instruments such as drum and dholak is note worthy. Nandi is shown seated behind the right leg of shiva.Kubera and his consort are shown seated on a horse sorrounde by a host of soldiers holding sword and shield.Three parasols above kubera are shown in relief.Front leg of the horse is shown resting on what appears to be a boar in a crouching posture. |
