| Description / विवरण | It is incomplete dvara of a temple. The right sakha is missing. Only the sira-patti and the left sakha are available. The dehali which is the original one, is devoid of any decoration figures. The lalatabimba of the dvarasakha is sadly mutilated. It must have been a sited deity. He is flanked by six figures of seated Surya in a row. Towards the extreme right end, the figure appears to be a female in sitting posture while the seated figure towards the left is a seated male figure. Just below the male and female figures, there are two miniature human figures representing some deities, whose identity is not clear. The dvarasakha carries the figures of a dvarapala at the bottom. The sakha has three sakhas ,i.e., lata sakha,sakha depicting miniature figures of avataras of Vishnu and a puspa sakha.the central band of a miniature figure of Kurma avatara, Matsa-avatara, Parasuram, Holiram, Ram and the figure at the representing Surya are seen. The other avataras of Vishnu must have been on the other sakha,which is missing. The other sakha of the dvara of the broken temple could not be located at the site. |
