| Description / विवरण | This is a small muzzle loaded cannon made of iron, hoisted on a wooden trolly base probably of recent origin.Used for firing iron balls to a considerable distance, it is a characteristic piece battle gun of the period.It is decorated with a broad moulded band near the muzzle end.The mouth part of the cannon is damaged and at the conical rear end it is decorated with a series of mouldings.It measures 70 cm in circumference at the base, where as the damaged and extant mouth of the barrel measures 49 cm in circumference.The ignition point is missing. It appears to have been made using the iron-casting technique.The surface is smooth and with encrustrations. |
