| Description / विवरण | |
| Description / विवरण | Sensitively modelled figure of Uma-Mahesvara in alinganamudra. Mahesvara s head with a lotus halo is flanked on the proper left side by seated Visnu. The image stele is only partially preserved. Siva s right hand holds mutilated vijapuraka, while his upper left hand carries a serpent and the lower left embraces Parvati. Parvati is seated in sukhasana on the lap of her lord embracing him with the right hand and holding mirror defaced in the left hand. Siva is urdhvamedhra and wears a jatamukuta while Parvati dons a dhammilla. Adorned with appropriate ornaments, both have a tall proportionate physique with attenuated waist. The image is remarkable for its high aesthetic quality. |
