| Description / विवरण | Saivate dwarapala standing in Katisama posture. The lower part is broken. The head is adorned with a tall jatamakuta in conical shape tapering towards the top. The ears have chakra kundalas. He has four hands. The rear right hand is raised up in pataka hasta pose while the left rear hand holds a serpent or noose. The lower right hand hangs down freely touching the thigh while the lower left also hangs down loose and placed on the upper part of the mace broken . Adorned with a tight kanta mala, thick yagnopavita, udara bandha, keyuras and bangles. There is a kati sutra around the loin with a short lower garment and girdle mekhala . The face is oval in appearance and characterized by bulbous cheeks, thick lips and slightly snubbed short nose. It is a broken sculpture. |
