| Description / विवरण | Image of Gautam Buddha seated in cross legged, Preaching the first Sermon at Sarnath, on a thick cushion. The Position of hands in front of the chest. The robe covers both shoulders, In the center of the relief carved between the legs of the seat is a wheel on a throne with deer on either side. Seven kneeling figures with hands joined before the chest. Two crocodile heads emerging from foliage surmount the ends of the horizontal bar. The upper portion of the back- slab is fashioned into a beautifully sculptured circular halo with concentric bands, either side of halo is a flying celestial holding a tray of flowers in their left hand. |
