| Description / विवरण | This is an architectural fragment of a temple. Where on the frontal part the figure of kirtimukha (face of glory) is carved out. A round floral tilaka can be seen on the forehead. Two bulging eyes are surrounded by dotted eyebrows. A heavy fleshy nose is present on the other hand thick and parallel mustache covered the face. There is an ornament present on the jawline. The mouth is open and the tongue is out even the upper jaw is visible. The claws of the figure are holding the tail of rahu and giving an expression to swallow the tail. Whereas rahu is situated on the left side. The head of the rahu is adorned with the hooded serpent and two patrakundalas are present in the ears. Apart from this Rahu is in namaskara mudra. |
