| Description / विवरण | It is a figurine of a male carved on a coarse-grained granite boulder in a low relief. The carvings of the image lack sophistication. The decorative block is partially broken damaging the sculpture where the figurine s feet are entirely missing. The facial features are almost worn out due to extreme weathering however, the eyes, dramatic eyebrows, defined jawline and chin are prominently visible. He is facing to his right. He is adorned with a tilak on his forehead and oval-shaped loops. The figurine is seen to be adorned with a decorated spiked headgear, Kanthabhushana (necklace) covering the entire torso. A coin-shaped beaded ornament is also seen worn by the image. A simple girdle is carved around the waist. The Antariya is dangling in between his thighs. His hair is shown to be waving in the air. His right hand is closer to the chest gesturing Mukula mudra and his left hand is partially broken. The figure is seen to be standing in a Samabhanga posture with the weight of the body shifted entirely on the right leg. Loose ends from his attire is seen waving behind him. |
