| Description / विवरण | The goddess is seated in the Vajra-paryankasana attitude on the pericarp of a visva-padma with high stamens. The visva-padma rests on a footed oblong pedestal with a moulding. Against the front side of the pedestal are two lions with a drapery in between. The drapery is relieved with lotus-leaves having wavy stalks. The two natural hands are on the lap in the dhyana-mudra with a flattish bowl on the right palm placed on the left, the upper right, upper left and lower left carry respectively a rosary, a long necked spouted kamaclaly and the stalk of a full-blown lotus, the lower right in vara-mudar. Dressed in a finely decorated sati, held by a girdle and a diaphanous decorated Uttariya worn tightly in an upaviti fashion, the goddess in effectively bejeweled with number of bangles held together by a clasp, armlets with a flower-shaped central piece, an elaborate necklace, silver beaded hara, flower-shaped heavy kundalas and a crown with three triangular floral projections, with coiled locks falling on shoulders. |
