| Description / विवरण | The marriage scene of Shiv and Parvati, known as Kalyan Sundar is carved in niche of stone slab. Shiv is shown standing to left facing to Parvati, standing to right. Both holds the hands of each other and facing. Shiv is adorned with attractive high head dress, earlobes, necklaces, sacred thread, armlets and gridle around waist. Parvati is also ornamented beautifully. Shiv holds lotus in upper right hand and trident in upper left hand. Lower right holds the hand of Parvati, while left lower rest on thigh. A small figure of sun seated holding lotus in both hands is shown at middle on top. Indra rides on elephant on right corner, a bearded figure to left. Three faced Brahma is shown between both of legs below offering in the mouth of fire. A male stand to left below holding pitcher and a female to right below. |
