| Description / विवरण | This is a broken terracotta plaque representing a standing female figure with a heavy necklace, spiral circular ear ornaments, triple-stringed girdle, bangles and anklets. She is further embellished with a waistband held together by a clasp with a floral motif. Interestingly, the figure is also portrayed wearing slippers in her feet. The careful modelling of the body, the delineation of her diaphanous garments falling in folds from waist to her knees and the lines on her neck - all demonstrate the mastery of the artist over his medium. |
