| Description / विवरण | The footprints is rare in the collection of early terracotta from Bengal in the Directorate of Archaeology, West Bengal. There are two specimens of votive footprints, one from Gosaba and the present piece from Natshal in Medinipur districtof southern Bengal. This pair of feet in the centre of a raised platform. It is possible that this object was meant to perform some ritual function. A small channel for the discharge of weter given as offering has also been indicated. |
