| Description / विवरण | This wheeled figure represents an owl holding out to its prey and fluttering its wings. Compared to the other wheeled toys recovered from the site, the present example is unadorned. Later the owl came to be associated with Laksmi, the goddess of wealth, but its iconographic significance at this stage in history remains uncertain. However, owl is depicted on the early caves of Nasik. |
