| Description / विवरण | Siva as Nataraja kept his legs bent and wide apart, the front hand fully stretched and crossed to the left side over the chest in Gajahasta pose, whereas his left hand kept in Vyakhyana pose. He holds trident in the upper right hand and a snake in the upper left hand. On all the four corners are Gandharvas and Yakshas, hovering in the air holding chamaras. The lower part, are persons playing musical instruments i.e. flute and drum. He wears high jatamakuta, kanthaharas, yajnopavita, mekhala with flowing tassels between the legs. Prominent halo is seen. He has oval face, long snubbed nose, slightly bulged eyes, thick folded chin and thick lips. |
