| Description / विवरण | The left side of the image is badly damaged. The God, in udicyavesa, stands in samabhanga pose the remains of the lotus held by the right hand being visible. He wears boots and a girdle with a kirttimukha ornament in the center from which issue two chains that pass beneath the girdle to form loops over the thighs, the loose ends falling to the knees. We also see an upavita and circular earrings. The hair is parted in the center, and shows a row of curls behind which rests the heavy crown. Lotus petals that formed the halo are visible behind the head. A badly damaged figure, probably Aruna, stands at the God s feet. On his right is the figure of a woman holding a flower, probably Rajni or Niksubha, in front of whom is a badly damaged representation of Pingala. The edge of the image shows, from bottom to top, a mutilated pot-bellied seated figure, a standing crowned figure with a beard holding a rosary aksamala in the right hand, and another crowned figure standing on a pedestal and holding what is apparently a fruit in the pendant left hand. |
