| Description / विवरण | The main group is flanked by rampant vyalas stepping on elephants, and conventional niches with tall udgamas formed by three indusalikas. In the center is Siva supporting Parvati on his lap. Below them are the bull and lion vahanas with dancing Bhrngi between. The arms, the heads, and the portion above are badly damaged. In addition to the small attendants immediately next to them, are large figures of female cauri-bearers whose heads have also been broken off. They stand in graceful swaying postures, their bodies gently turned toward the divine couple. Their long dhoti reach almost to the ankles and are marked by gentle ridges to indicate the folds. Each is accompanied by a female attendant carrying a bag. The jewelry consists mainly of beaded necklaces and girdles. |
