| Description / विवरण | The figure stands in tribhanga, the weight resting on the right leg, the left knee slightly bent. The legs are rather short in proportion to the rest of the body. The right hand, hanging at the side, holds an indistinguishable object the left hand holds a bunch of flowers at shoulder level. The god wears a diaphanous dhoti which reaches the ankles and is secured around the waist by a chain girdle with a rosette buckle. The scarf is draped across the left shoulder with the ends flaring out below the elbow. A simple pearl necklace and wristlets serve as ornaments and the hair is done in a plain jatamukuta with loose strands falling over the shoulders. Behind the head is a circular halo resting on a high rectangular slab. |
