| Description / विवरण | This sculpture made of two components fitted one above the other. The lower part represents a alasa-kanya standing agaist a tree, above which is a full-blown lotus with a centra bowl like depression inside and a conical projection. The conical projection is supported the four-armed image. The Nayika is tall and slim with her full and prominent bust and a pellet on the forehead is dressed a long folded uttariya, which encircling her back and upper arms with girdle. She is wearing anklets, bangles, armlets, necklace, ear-rings, and a crown at the head. She is busy with her hands in taking out her anklets from her raised right foot perched on the trunk of the tree. Above it conical projection, the four-armed and three-eyed Bhrikuti is seated in paryankasana pose on a lotus pedestal. His major hands are in anjali mudra placed near the chest and upper right and left bears rosary and a staff respectively. Behind the image, there is a circular halo with leaf designed margin . On the back side of the halo,there is an inscription. |
