| Description / विवरण | These are small iron padlocks of different size and shape used for securing doors of small secular buildings within the Bidar fort.These locks are cylindrical or barrel shaped.The locks exhibit one to six circular reinforcements around the mantle.The topmost perforated reinforcing ring is connected to the perforated arm of the mantle at the bottom by a vertical shackle.In one specimen a pin is clinging to the shackle.The perforation at the top appeares to be used for inserting the key either to open or close the padlock. These locks are rusted. |
