| Description / विवरण | This small square Copper plate having five stamp designs with script was collected from zeranga field in old Rangpur, Sivsagar. The stamp contain British royal insignia on the copper upper half and English scripts in capital letter- AFRS in the lower below which the date A.D. is visible. The middle stamp engraved some letters of which on the above script land below it D and FP are clear. The plate may describe as a passport of the French Commercial Office Chavalier, who visited Assam during region of Rajesvarasimha. |
