| Description / विवरण | Trench DX- 2, Stratum Pit 1 sealed by layer 2 These are two moulds joined together during casting. The process is called stack coin casting. Basically the moulds are made of terracotta and with rough surface. The depression on both the sides in the negative is of deity which holds something in one hand and other hand is place on its waist.On its one side there is a depiction of a purna ghata and on the other side at the back some small figurines inseated postures suggest the devoties of deity. Moreover, the bead pattern around the negative give prominence to the character casted. Surface of object is rough and colour is terracotta red. |
