| Description / विवरण | A complete specimen of a terracotta head scratcher made of fine clay. It is a slightly cocave-based hemispherical shaped object which looks like a half lentil. It is hollow at the base and bear a small perforation at the apex. It is plain at the ridge. It is made of fine well-levigated clay, and unslipped but bears a very fine wash. All the decorations have been made by impressing strings and consist of two concentric circles incised around the apex. A line of further rings these - question mark like symbols. The ridge is decorated with three incised parallel lines bounded on both sides by a line of scallops. This speciemen is extremely well fired and smooth in texture. |
