| Description / विवरण | Fragment of a door jamb depicting a standing couple in niche in high relief. Male is in left with a flower in his left hand. His right hand rests on shoulder of female at his right. Her right hand rests on her thigh, her left hand touches right arm. Both are adorned with elaborate headgear, beaded necklaces, round earrings bangles and girdles. Below them 3 celestial dancers are seen in niche. Left figure is almost mutilated, lower part of rest two figures is flaked off. At their left a Naga figure with broken head is seen in niche with coiled bodies. Above them a Kirtimukha is seen with protruding teeth, eyes and furious face. At its left a female figure is seen with lower part, left breast missing, elaborate headgear and adorned with jewels. She is holding something in right hand and her right breast is touched by a hand coming behind her body. |
