| Description / विवरण | Architectural member of a Shaiva temple, doorjamb, showing Ganga in standing posture within the pilastered niche surmounted with the makartoran. She holds a lotus flower in her Rt. hand while the Lt. hand is suspended below. She wears usual ornaments. To the right of niche is a female attendant standing in tribhangamudra holding a kalasa. Near her legs is a crocodile. To the left of niche is a male deity wearing karand mukuta with his Lt. hand is in updesh mudra. Shaft part of the doorjamb shows patrasakha, nagasakha, Vyal sakha, Mithunsakha, Vyal sakha and bahyasakha. These sakhas are supported by kichakas in lower portion at the extreme end of kichaka are nag and two traders on another side. figure are weathered and partially mutilated. |
