| Description / विवरण | The stele contains different narrative scenes adoring Buddha. Within the arched motif, the top portion depicts worship of Buddha s begging bowl by devotees, below is worship of Buddha in mediation, the next lower scene represent Bodhisatva seated and adored by two standing figures in the front and two seated figures on either end. The lowermost one scene shows Buddha standing prominently with raised hand. He is accompanied by eight other figures, of which two at the lower right side perhaps represent a couple of high stature. The male figure with long robe sports a moustache while the female in similar attire has interesting hair do made up of the placement of a floral wreath in it. At the upper right side are two male figures possibly men of rank. On the left side are two female figures with distinct coiffure. Below are shown two bearded and aged figures. |
