| Description / विवरण | The scene is placed between two elaborate pilasters depicting demon Mara assaulting Buddha. This is evidenced from the side figures in agitating and threatening pose. One of the figures on left possibly of mara is hown with a sword in his hand. Here the Bodhisatva seated under a floral canopy, inspite of earth touching gesture, is shown with right hand disposed in the nature of this mudra and is brought up to the level of the knee. The other hand seems to be drawn near the chest. |
