| Description / विवरण | |
| Description / विवरण | The sculptural block shows a lovely scene of lotus with long stalk, buds and leaves are placed in interlacing pattern, which is like a creeper motif. A noticeable aspect is that in an interlacing part of the stalk, a bird like heron engages in eating food possibly a fish. This scene is depicted in more realistic way. It is noticed that in the Deoparbat Archaeological site, artists used the motif of lotus petals as side border in different architectural parts like pillar, door jambs, lintel etc. |
