| Description / विवरण | This architectural fragment represents a nagara style sikhara of a temple consisting of a polygonal dome like structure decorated with horizontal and vertical line with various floral and geometric patterns, creepers, floral motifs around the sikhara. The frontal view of the miniature sikhara consists two unidentified figures, one on the top of the sikhara and other at the bottom, and a highly eroded kala makara in the middle. The figure on top of the sikhara seems to be sitting in meditative manner with both the legs folded inwards and the arms holding together. The facial parts and other representations of the body were highly eroded and difficult to address. The kala makara is sculpted just below the figure on top, it is highly eroded as well, the nose, eyes head portions and the lips were the only representatios of kala makara. The eroded figure at the bottom is in an unrecognisable sitting posture, the face, arms, feet were very highly eroded. The figure seems to be holding two ayudh with both its arms. The ayudh on the left arm is a representation of a small mace or a padma, while the ayudh on the right arm is unrecognisable due of its eroded condition. |
