| Description / विवरण | This embellishing trapezoidal shaped architectural fragment consisting of beautifully carved low relief kirtimukha motifs aligned in a row, the facial features were very prominently carved including closed bulging eyes, thick eyebrows, big ears, moustache, a big mouth, along with its teeth s. The motifs were decorated with two-stringed beaded strings emerging from their mouth, connected with bell like structure. There were low relief carvings of inverted triangles in between the motifs. The frontal side of the block is again separated with horizontal stripes. The top surface of the block has carvings of square shaped shallow sockets and clamp impressions. |
