| Description / विवरण | |
| Description / विवरण | It is an architectural decorative panel of a monument. This panel is rectangular-shaped with ends like parabolic arches. There are four faces to the panel that is carved on a granite boulder. On one end, except for few chiselled marks, it is completely devoid of any designs or engravings. The other end is intricately engraved with a short five lines of Islamic calligraphy. The engravings are almost worn out due to weathering. The inscription is surrounded by vegetal (creepers) motifs in the shape of an arch. Below that, we can observe a single strand of rhombus- shaped pattern is carved horizontally. Further down, there are three shallow miniature niches carved in a row. The niches are scalloped-shaped arches which were popular feature of Mughal art and architecture. There are Islamic calligraphic letters meticulously etched inside the niches. On one of the wider sides, there are three columns of different carvings. The first row has vegetal motifs and the next has rhombus-shaped geometric pattern on it. Farther, there are eight shallow scalloped-shaped arches with almost eroded calligraphic letters inscribed within. Unlike the rest, this frontal side has many elemental features embodied on it.The other side has similar eight numbers of niches, however, the carvings are eroded compared to the rest. Above those, there are vegetal and floral motifs carved in a horizontal band. Beginning from the left side, there are three boat-like engravings lined up one after the other. The last two have wheel-like with spokes shapes carved on each end of the boats. There are two parallel rhombus-shaped patterns carved in the entire front. However, the pattern faced a discontinuation due to a four line Islamic inscription etched in between. Socket-like depression on top of the panel. |
