| Description / विवरण | The slab with a curved profile has three main compartments showing the worship of the bodhi tree, Chaitya and Stupa, fringed on one side by a fluted pilaster having a lotus medallion. The lowest register depicts the worship of the bodhi tree by two pairs of couples and two flying devas on top. Separated by a row of miniature stupas, The second one portrays the scene of worship of chakra by four male figures, two of which are sealed with folder hands and the other two holding fly whisks. Two flying devas are also seen on either side at the top. The third separated from the second by a row of prancing lions represents a stupa with two seated worshippers and two flying devas. At the bottom, a donative inscription is inscribed in Prakrit making three lines read as follows Line 1 Sidham namo Bha gavato jambudiva Vajasaks bhagavato dhatu pari Gahita mahachetiye putisa bodhikasa sa pitukasa sa matukasa sa . Line 2 Bhagineyasa budharakhita tatiya putasa vidhikasa sa pitakasa sa matukasa sa bha......kasa putranam cha asya sanghasya kshudra sanghasya cha. Line 3 Patithapita. |
