| Description / विवरण | Capital has representation of an inverted lotus or bell flower with numerous petals below the abacus. This lion sejant is depited as an extra ordinarily powerful beast with a some what unnaturally massive built lacking the proportion and beauty of its proto type. Its abacus present a delightful variety of composite animals, where in one finds free re in given to imagination. Winged and beaked beasts, rare in Indian sculptures. The funniest of these figures is that of a winged mule having a bearded human head, with a couple of horns. |
