| Description / विवरण | Lintel beam depicted with three panels divided by pilaster motifs. The first one shows a man sleeping under the shade of a tree. Beside him is a serpent coming out of the tree trunk probably to bite him. Above it, is a bird flying towards the tree. The second panel shows the episode of the Gaja-Kacchapa Yuddha in which Vishnu mounted on Garuda rushing to stop the battle. The third one shows the figure of an Varaha - an incarnation of the Vishnu rescuing Bhudevi from the ocean. He is sitting on his knee-cap and right foot lifted up. On his left side is a human figure probably Garuda, hovering in the air, paying homage with folded hands and below him is a serpent. |
