| Description / विवरण | Quinhentas Rupias - Rs. 50 - Portuguese overseas currency note Quinhentas Rupias Rs.500 - for the state of India with issue Dt. 29th Nov,1945 printed on white paper in dark, green, brown and light blue. Identification - 16.5 cms 8.5 cms. Obv Bust of Afonso de Albuqerque, water mark with ship, the legend Banco Nacional Ultramarino and India Portugusea in bold upper character, denomination in Portuguese - Quinhentas Rupias bold , denomination in vernacular characters Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati & Kanada middle panel , signatures of vice Governor & the Governor on the lower part, number denomination 500 on the upper right & lower left corner, serial number 015235 on the upper right and lower left corner. Rev Fleet of ships on the sea, a European lady viewing the ship from the Jetty, decorative panel with Prtuguese emblem armorial sphere & number denomination500 in bold on the right side, Banco Nacional Ultramarino on top. |
