| Description / विवरण | Uma Rupia - 1 - Portuguese overseas paper currency Uma Rupia -1 - Dated 1st January 1924.Printed on white paper in blue and yellow color Identification - 14.7 cms 8.3 cms Obv Banco Nacional Ultramarino and Nova Goa in bold upper character, the bust of tiger in the central panel flanked by two denomination panels in vernacular character; the left panel has the denomination in Urdu and Hindi and serial number -458950 ; the right panel has the denomination in Gujarathi and Kanada, Lishboa in bold and the date 1de Janeiro 1924.The denomination Uma Rupia in bold lower - character, the armorial sphere and signature of vice Governor and Governor on the lower part. The number denomination 1 is printed in bold on all four corners of the- note. Rev Banco Nacional Ultramarino in bold upper character top the jaganath- temple of puri at the center and Uma Rupia in bold on the lower part. The main temple shikhara, the jaganmohana, the compound wall at the steps and two rooms at the main entrance of the temple and the bazar outside the temple selling Prasad in clay pots are clearly visible. Number denominations 1 in bold is printed on - either side of the note. |
