| Description / विवरण | Obverse:- King, nimbate standing to left, wears tall pointed helmet, long coat with round lapels, hem of coat curved upwards over knees, all bejwelled, offers oblations with right hand in an altar behind which is a trident with fluttering ribbons, Bactrian legend not visible. Brahmi "ku" in left field. "Ta" or "go" between the feet of the king and "mu" between the altar and right leg of the king. Reverse:- Female deity seated on face, on high backed throne. Nimbate, holds a noose in the right hand and cornucopia in the left hand, fully dressed in flowing classical robes, legend on right APΔOXPO i.e. ARDOXSHO or the goddess of abundance. Monogram on the left, above right hand. |
