| Description / विवरण | Obverse:- King, nimbate, riding caparisoned horse to right. Its mane artistically plaited, bare headed. The King is wearing coat and probably trousers, holding bow in the left hand the upper part of which being visible just above the neck of the horse. Circular legend being at left "Gupta kulavyomasasi jayatyajeyo jit Mahendra (?)." Reverse:- Goddess, nimbate, seated on wicker stool to left holding in her right hand a bunch of grapes before the peacock in her front. The bunch is usually shown as hanging from a long stalk with one twig on either of its side. Left hand of the goddess rests on waist, holding a lotus with long stalk with leaves and buds. Legend on right. "Ajit Mahendrah". |
