| Description / विवरण | This is a Hungarian Ducat coin of 1663 having a value of 1 Ducat. On the obverse, full-size crowned standing Monarch facing front, looking right with an orb in left hand and sceptre in right divides mintmark, called KB. An inscription around in the outer pearl circle, in Latin- LEOPOLDVS D G R I S A GE HV B RE , meaning, Leopold, by the grace of God Emperor of the Romans, Always August, King of Germany, Hungary, Bohemia. On the reverse, crowned and glorified radiant Madonna is seated on a crescent with a sceptre in her right hand and a child sits on her left arm, with the Hungarian coat of arms at the bottom. An inscription around the outer pearl circle with the date at the end of the inscription in Latin- AR AV DV BV MA MO CO TY 1680 , which translates to Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, Margrave of Moravia and Count of Tyrol, 1680. The edge is plain. |
