| Description / विवरण | This frieze depicting six seated jina tithankaras in low relief, is part of a frame comprising twenty four tirthankaras provided around the main sculpture of a tithankara. Due to weathering details are eroded.However faint outline indicates that they are two armed,unornamented and absorbed in deep meditation.The tirthankaras depicted in this fragment are shown in padmasana keeping the hands in dhyanamudra. Faint outline of a plain halo behind the head is noteworthy.The extant relief may be ascribed to late-chalukyan period. |
