| Description / विवरण | In this low relief Virabhadra is depicted standing in almost tribhanga. He has four arms.The right and left upper hands holds arrow and bow respectively where as lower right hand holds sword and the left hand rests on the shield kept on the ground.He wears a two tiered karanda makuta with a conical top. The matted hair below the crown is spread on either side of shoulder.Details of the face is eroded. The upavita suspended from the left shoulder passes across the belly. He is bedecked with ornaments such as beaded kanthahara,vakshahara,skandhamala,keyura,kankana,channaveera and nupura.Antariya is held by a elaborate katibandha with a buckle at the centre.Daksha with goat's head with horns stands on his right side in a posture of supplication.To the right of Daksha relief at the left bottom depicts a devotee standing and offering worship to a shiva linga. To the left of virabhadra part of pilaster is depicted. On stylistic grounds this relief may be ascribed to the vijayanagara period. |
